Neoprene custom made splints
- Splints made from neoprene can be custom made in the Hand Unit to treat a variety of conditions.
- These splints can be used to provide support for joints following injury, or acquired conditions such as osteoarthritis.
- The soft support provided by neoprene gives circumferential pressure useful in controlling oedema, can assist in return to functional activities and restrict movement of a joint to protect or support healing structures. Thermoplastic material can also be added to increase the support if needed.
